While Bellator is still on MTV for the rest of the year as the promotion continues its seventh season, that will all change once 2013 starts.
This January, Bellator will bring out the big guns as it will make its debut on Spike TV. The above promo, which features standouts like Babalu, "King Mo" Lawal, Paul Daley and Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler is the first big teaser before the big move.
Spike TV featured Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) programming for years beginning with the smash hit first season of The Ultimate Fighter, but the relationship ended when UFC signed its big corporate deal with Fox Broadcasting. MMA has not been featured on Spike TV since, other than occasional UFC re-runs, counterprogramming and the news/talk show MMA Uncensored Live.
Does this promo get your excited, Maniacs?
Will it be nice to finally have MMA on Spike TV again, or will it simply not be the same since it won't be UFC?
Sound off!
