TWO TITLES UP FOR GRABS! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) makes its highly anticipated return to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sat., Nov. 11, 2023, with a re-worked pay-per-view (PPV) main card. In the ESPN+-streamed main event, former 205-pound roost-ruler, Jiri Prochazka, will lock horns with ex-Middleweight kingpin, Alex Pereira, for the promotion’s vacant Light Heavyweight title. In UFC 295’s co-main event, top-ranked Heavyweight contenders, Sergei Pavlovich (No. 2) and Tom Aspinall (No. 4), will collide for the interim strap after division champion, Jon Jones, was injured with a torn pectoral muscle and forced to withdraw (video).

Don’t miss a single second of EPIC face-punching action!

Diaz was able to advance early to land some shots until Edwards started to bust up his lead leg. Edwards even gained top control in the first to score some ground-and-pound. Edwards went back to the kicks in the second before scoring a takedown along the cage. Diaz recovered but found it difficult to land strikes on the feet as Edwards stayed in his own range.

Edwards was able to gain top control again in the third and landed some solid elbows to bloody Diaz. Diaz was tough as nails and returned to his feet, but Edwards kept busy with a strong clinch game and selective strikes. In the fourth, Edwards connected on a huge right hand that briefly buckled Diaz. “Rocky” also scored a huge elbow during an exchange inside that bloodied Diaz even more.

It looked like Edwards was going to cruise to a five-round blowout but Diaz landed a massive left hand towards the end of the fight that stunned “Rocky.” Diaz unloaded everything he had left to try and finish the welterweight contender but Edwards remained on his feet. In the end, “Rocky” did more than enough to walk away with the win.
