Jairzinho Rozenstruik kept things rolling earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 2, 2019) at UFC 244 from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, as he steamrolled former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski via knockout (punch) just 29 seconds into the very first round.
Obvious by the stoppage, this heavyweight contest did not last long. Arlovski and Rozenstruick both slung heavy leather early on as “Pitbull” tried to counter along the cage. After the action was separated and Arlovski moved inside to mix things up again Rozenstruick was there to catch the former champion with a sharp left hand counter. Arlovski dropped to the canvas and the referee quickly stepped in.

With this performance, Rozenstruick cashes in on the biggest opportunity of his MMA career thus far and follows up a ridiculous nine-second knockout finish over Allen Crowder back in June in style. The talented heavyweight striker has looked downright scary over his first few Octagon appearances and should be able to parlay this win over Arlovski into a shot at the division’s top 10.
