Welterweight powerhouse Lyman Good gave fight fans their first finish earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 2, 2019) at UFC 244 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, when he brutally finished game opponent, Chance Rencountre, via third-round TKO (punches).
It was all Good from the opening bell as the New York native utilized his raw power and well-rounded striking attacks to pick Rencountre apart. From peppering right hands over the top to blistering leg kicks that sent sound waves throughout MSG, Good was landing at a significant clip. His efforts paid off in full in the third round when more pressure and a decisive right hand down the pipe crumbled Rencountre along the cage and finally forced the referee’s hand.

With this performance, Good rebounds in devastating fashion after getting choked out by Demian Maia back in February. The seasoned veteran needs to remain a little more active entering 2020, but his finishing ability and crowd-pleasing fighting style could allow Good to make a quick push into the UFC welterweight division’s top 15.
