Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis finally got the big win he was hoping for last night (Sat., July 7, 2018) at UFC 226 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he submitted Michael Chiesa via second-round triangle armbar.
After a back-and-forth first round that featured good moments for both lightweights, Pettis came on in the second. “Showtime” hurt Chiesa on the feet before taking the action to the canvas where he proceeded to lock up a perfect triangle armbar. Chiesa didn’t last long and was forced to tap.

With this performance, Pettis gets back into the win column after losing to Dustin Poirier his last time out. Pettis definitely still has some work to do but this is a great step in the right direction.
