Things got extremely heated between heavyweight knockout artists Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis earlier tonight (Fri., July 6, 2018) during UFC 226’s ceremonial weigh ins (replay here).
The two have traded verbal barbs ahead of their co-main event clash tomorrow night at UFC 226 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, but something didn’t sit right with “Black Beast” when he came nose-to-nose with “Predator” for the final time.
After a nail-biting staredown that included a conversation between the two massive fighters, Lewis proceeded to shove Ngannou out of the way, forcing UFC president Dana White and company to jump in the middle and break it up.

If this is any indication of how violent their co-main event clash will be tomorrow night at UFC 226 fight fans should be more than pleased. The heavyweight contenders already share 24 career knockouts, but if Ngannou and Lewis bring some bad blood into the Octagon tomorrow evening there’s no telling how crazy the action might get.
UFC 226 will be headlined by another heavyweight clash as current UFC champion Stipe Miocic tries to ward off UFC light heavyweight titleholder Daniel Cormier.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 226 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
