UFC 224 results, recap, and link wrap up: ‘Lioness’ devours Pennington, ‘Jacare’ bitten by Gastelum

For an event that didn’t get much love from the promotion’s marketing machine, there was certainly a lot to talk about by the time the curtain fell on last weekend’s UFC 224 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place last Sat. night (May 12, 2018) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

That includes Amanda Nunes’ technical knockout win over Raquel Pennington, who came up short in her bid to dethrone the Brazilian champion while also drawing attention to the role of her corner, who may have put her in unnecessary danger.

And let’s not forget about Kelvin Gastelum’s upset win over middleweight contender Ronaldo Souza, as well as flyweight grappler Mackenzie Dern’s first-round submission win over strawweight boxer Amanda Bobby Cooper.

Missed the event? Too hungover to remember what happened?

No worries, as we’ve gone ahead and compiled links to all of the top stories coming out of “Nunes vs. Pennington,” including breaking news, highlights, reactions, results, recaps, and more, all conveniently laid out in the UFC 224 wrap-up post below.
