The stock of Mackenzie Dern continued to rise last night (Sat., May 12, 2018) at UFC 224 from inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when the young Brazilian strawweight put a quick stop to Amanda Cooper via first-round rear-naked choke.
It took Dern just over two minutes to take this fight to the ground and choke out Cooper. Dern first stunned Cooper on the feet, showing a well-rounded arsenal in her second UFC appearance.

With this performance, Dern improves her undefeated professional record to 7-0. She looked really good last night in Brazil, but missing weight by seven pounds leads us to believe that Dern has a lot of other work to do before she makes a serious run at 115 pounds.
