The magical submission game of Russian veteran Aleksei Oliynyk shined through yet again earlier tonight (Sat., May 12, 2018) at UFC 224 from inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when “Boa Constrictor” finished Brazilian heavyweight prospect Junior Albini via first-round ezekial choke.
Despite suffering a cut by his eye early into the first round, Oliynyk kept pushing forward. During a clinch exchange with Albini, Oliynyk grabbed a hold of a standing ezekial choke. The Russian then dropped to the canvas and squeezed off his back until the young Brazilian was forced to tap.

With this performance, Oliynyk secures his second ezekial choke finish in his last three victories. The 40-year-old probably isn’t go contend for a UFC title during his promotional tenure, but he’s becoming one of the more impressive heavyweights in the division.
This stuff is just beautiful.
