Rising UFC featherweight contender Alexander Volkanovski continued his winning ways earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 10, 2018) at UFC 221 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Perth Arena in Perth, Australia, when he put a brutal end to previously undefeated Canadian prospect Jeremy Kennedy via second-round TKO.
This fight really wasn’t fair. While Kennedy came into the contest riding good success on the ground throughout his three UFC appearances, Volkanovski was simply too strong. The former rugby player took Kennedy down at will and battered him with short elbows, looping elbows, hard punches from top position, and rough body punches that thudded throughout the Perth Arena. In the end, Volkanovski capped off his efforts in the second round when the referee finally peeled him off of Kennedy.

With this performance, Volkanovski extends his current win streak to 14 (4-0 UFC) and proves that he’s ready for a top dog at 145 pounds. The 29-year-old’s striking still has some catching up to do with his wrestling, but Volkanovski looks primed for a fantastic 2018 campaign.
