While UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic attempts to make history with his third-straight title defense tonight (Sat., Jan. 20, 2018) at UFC 220 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside TD Garden in Boston, Mass., opponent Francis Ngannou will be looking to take the champ’s head clean off.
Ngannou, who the UFC is banking on becoming the next big star, has won all six of his Octagon appearances by way of knockout or submission. That streak started with a second-round knockout finish over Brazilian prospect Luis Henrique back at Ngannou’s UFC debut in 2015.
Check out Ngannou’s debut stoppage above in UFC’s “KO of the Week.”
While Miocic is the most complete fighter Ngannou has ever faced, the Cameroonian proved that he can flatten any heavyweight in the world after his recent Knockout of the Year finish over veteran Alistair Overeem at UFC 218. Another one-punch finish like that one and “Predator” will be calling himself champ.
