LIVE! PFL 5 2023 results, coverage and full fight highlights | Delija vs. Greene

The second half of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) 2023 season rolls TONIGHT (Fri., June 16, 2023) from inside Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Ga., with the Heavyweights and women’s Featherweights taking the cage in hopes of winning $1 million at the end of the season later this year. For most fighters, it is win or go home. In the main event, 2022 Heavyweight champion, Ante Delija, takes on former UFC fighter, Maurice Greene, while in the co-main event, Kayla Harrison slayer (and 2022 women’s Lightweight champion), Larissa Pacheco, takes on Amber Leibrock. The “Prelims” undercard starts at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, while the main card begins at 10 p.m. ET.

PFL 5 2023 Play-By-Play Results (ESPN, 10 p.m. ET)

Ante Delija vs. Maurice Greene

Round one: Maurice Greene opened the fight with a low kick. Greene peppered Ante Delija with jabs until Delija clinched Greene but didn’t do much with until and Greene reversed him. Less than a minute left in the round and Greene took Delija down. Delija got up and finally started landing punches that hurt Greene.

Round two: The broadcast cut off the first 15 seconds of the round, and as it returned Delija dropped Greene. Delija put Greene against the fence once Greene got to his feet. Two and a half minutes left, Greene reversed Delija. The heavyweights finally got back to the center and Delija landed a punch that made Greene retreat. The round ended with Delija chasing Greene down landing looping shots.

Round three: Delija took the center of the cage to start the final round. About 45 seconds in the round, Delija started chasing Greene again like he did in round 2. Delija took Greene down and started dropping ground n pound for the rest of the fight.

Final result: Ante Delija defeats Maurice Greene via unanimous decision (29x28, 29x28, 29x28)


Larissa Pacheco vs. Amber Leibrock

Round one: It didn’t take more than 10 seconds before Larissa Pacheco unloaded on Amber Leibrock and never let her opponent recover, eventually winning via TKO.

Final result: Larissa Pacheco defeats Amber Leibrock via TKO (punches) Round 1, 0:45


Renan Ferreira vs. Matheus Scheffel

Round one: Renan Ferreira started the fight with a heavy low kick. After a few seconds of stalking Matheus Scheffel, he landed a straight right, and the two Heavyweights started exchanging until Ferreira put Scheffel’s lights out.

Final result: Renan Ferreira defeats Matheus Scheffel via knockout (punch) Round 1, 0:50


Aspen Ladd vs. Karolina Sobek

Round one: Aspen Ladd came out swinging but got hit with an uppercut that stunned her. Shortly after stunning Ladd, Karolina Sobek clinched Ladd.

Ladd got a takedown with 3:12 left in the round. Sobek eventually got back to her feet, got dumped, and then got up. Sobek landed a body kick but then got taken down. Ladd got to Sobek’s back and started landing ground and pound to end the round.

Round two: The second round started with Sobek landing a 1-2 and Ladd answering back with a right hand. Ladd put Sobek against the fence after a failed takedown. After literally no action, the pair broke and went back to the center for about four seconds before Ladd put Sobek against the fence and took her down.

With less than five seconds left, Ladd locked up an armbar and got the tap, which places her into the playoffs.

Final result: Aspen Ladd defeats Karolina Sobek via submission (armbar) Round 2, 4:55


Biaggio Ali Walsh vs. Travell Miller

Round one: Round one started with a low kick from Biaaggio Ali Walsh and a over hand that missed. Walsh started swinging wild but nothing really landed. Walsh finally landed a couple punches that stunned and dropped Travell Miller. Miller got to his feet but ate a left hook from Walsh that put him out.

Final result: Biaggio Ali Walsh defeats Travell Miller via knockout (punch) Round 1, 1:26
