Julian Erosa got back into the featherweight win column earlier today (Sat., Sept. 4, 2021) at UFC Vegas 36 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Juicy J” stopped Canadian prospect Charles Jourdain via third-round submission (D’Arce choke).
This was a wild fight from the opening bell. Both fighters found a home for power strikes, kicks, and heavy attacks in the clinch. Jourdain gained some serious momentum in Round 2 with a quick knockdown before Erosa stole it back in the third. After two takedowns Erosa was able to lock in a slick D’Arce choke that forced Jourdain to fight the hands. Erosa continued to squeeze and “Air” was left to tap.

Erosa was coming off a TKO loss to Seung Woo Choi back in June so he needed to provide some fireworks in his return this weekend. Luckily for Erosa, he was able to stomach all of Jourdain’s short punches and crisp combinations to score another short-notice victory inside of the Octagon.
