The tension is palpable as Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane, plus all of UFC 265’s stars face off at the ceremonial weigh-in.

Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane are ready to bang after sizing each other up at the UFC 265 ceremonial weigh-in (watch here) staredown.

Lewis (25-7) and Gane (9-0) got up closer and personal at Friday’s faceoff, ahead of their Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Interim Heavyweight title fight taking place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on Sat., Aug. 7, 2021, via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).

CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to T-Mobile Arena with a pair of thrilling world championship bouts. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 29 coaches collide when Featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, defends his title against No. 2-ranked contender, Brian Ortega. UFC 266’s co-main event will see women’s Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko go for her sixth consecutive title defense when she meets No. 3-seeded contender, Lauren Murphy. Jose Aldo, Pedro Munhoz, Michael Chiesa, Vicente Luque and the rest of the UFC 265 fighters also faced off after posing for fans.

The winner of Lewis (No. 2) vs. Gane (No. 3) will be the rightful challenger to UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou’s crown.
