Heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura will go blow-for-blow at UFC 267, headlined by Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira.
Volkov (33-9) vs. Tybura (22-6) has been added to UFC 267, which will take place on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021, according to MMA Fighting. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, hopes for the card to air on network television via ABC.
Volkov (No. 5) suffered a unanimous decision setback against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Vegas 30 two months ago. He finished both Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris prior to that and is on a 3-2 run in his last five fights.
Tybura (No. 8) enters the fight on the best winning streak of his UFC career with five consecutive wins. He scored technical knockouts over Walt Harris (watch highlights) and Greg Hardy in his last two outings.
UFC 267 is headlined by a UFC Light Heavyweight title fight that will pit division champion Blachowicz vs. Teixeira. A UFC Bantamweight title rematch is expected to serve as the co-main event as Aljamain Sterling defends his belt against former champion Petr Yan. Other notable fights planned for the card include Islam Makhachev vs. Rafael dos Anjos and Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev.
