Bellator 264 loses two fights due to health and safety protocols

Bellator 264, which is set to go down this Friday night (Aug. 13, 2021) inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., has lost a pair of fights. According to the promotion, a Featherweight scrap between Nekruz Mirkhojaev and James Adcock was pulled from the event because of health and safety protocols.

Furthermore, a Bantamweight fight between Danny Sabatello and Johnny Campbell was pulled after Sabatello tested positive for COVID-19, according to MMA Fighting. Winner of five straight, Sabatello was in search of his second straight win for the Viacom-owned company, while Campbell was also looking to make it two-for-two under the Bellator banner.

Both fights were expected to go down on the “Prelims.” As a result, the event will proceed with 10 bouts.

Bellator 264 will be headlined by a Middleweight title fight as division champion Gegard Mousasi defends his belt against No. 1 contender, John Salter. In further action, Andrey Koreshkov (23-4) will battle Sabah Homasi (15-9) in a Welterweight co-main event.
