In UFC Vegas 79’s co-main event, No. 12-ranked Featherweight contender, Bryce Mitchell, steps back into the Octagon against No. 13-seeded Dan Ige.
The Middleweight clash between Hall and Silva headlined UFC Vegas 12 on Oct. 31, 2020. Hall scored a fourth-round technical knockout (watch here) over the legendary former UFC champion. SIlva (34-11-0-1) subsequently retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) and transitioned to professional boxing. Most recently, Silva defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via split decision in an eight-round boxing match on June 19, 2021.
Hall, meanwhile, followed up the win over Silva with a 17-second technical knockout win over Chris Weidman at UFC 261 on April 24, 2021. Hall checked a leg kick that viciously snapped Weidman’s leg (watch here), much like how Weidman checked a kick that broke Silva’s leg years prior.
