Social media star Jake Paul will box former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley via Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Aug. 22, 2021 from inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

To help fans get hyped for their “sweet science” showdown, which follows a long and embarrassing string of celebrity boxing matches (like this one), the folks at Showtime will stage a special pre-fight press conference.

LIVE! Watch ‘Paul Vs. Diaz’ On DAZN PPV

READY FOR WAR! International superstar and serial risk-taker, Jake “The Problem Child” Paul, is once again up against a very big (and very different) challenge in regard to his budding combat sports career when he takes on former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) superstar (and Conor McGregor slayer), Nate Diaz, inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Sat., Aug. 5, 2023, streaming live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV). “Paul vs. Diaz” which will also feature multiple-time women’s boxing champion, Amanda Serrano, battling former WBO queenpin, Heather Hardy, for the undisputed Featherweight title in DAZN’s PPV co-main event. Special start time is slated for 8 p.m. ET, with a PPV price tag of $59.99.

Don’t miss a single second of face-punching action!

You know the drill by now: Paul and Woodley will yell insults at one another, then likely do some pushing and shoving during the subsequent staredown. I’m not sure they’ll reach GOTCHA HAT status, but I’ll probably tune in anyway.

The LIVE press conference stream from Los Angeles begins today (July 13) promptly at 4 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.

Paul, now 3-0 as a professional boxer with three knockouts, is coming off his April destruction of Ben Askren, a longtime friend and training partner of Woodley. Speaking of “The Chosen One,” who turned 39 just a few weeks back, he parted ways with UFC after dropping four straight bouts.

But he’s about to become rich and famous again.
