Love him or hate him, fight fans had strong emotions for 45th U.S. President Donald Trump was in attendance just in time to watch the trilogy match between Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor at UFC 264 this past weekend (Sat., July 10, 2021) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Trump — a long-time supporter of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) — made his way toward the Octagon along with a significant security detail during the pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event between Gilbert Burns and Stephen Thompson. The former Celebrity Apprentice leading man was among the many celebrities — including Dave Chappelle, Justin Bieber, Megan Fox, Kevin Durrant, Kourtney Kardashian and the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, among others — who were among the sold-out crowd in “Sin City.”

A video of Trump’s arrival has surfaced and the fan reaction is strong. Some suggest Trump was welcomed with a chorus of boos, while others believe he was strongly cheered for.
Prior to UFC 264, Trump sat cageside for UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in Nov. 2019. He became the first U.S. President to attend a UFC event. The card was headlined by Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson presenting the winner a ceremonial BMF belt.
