Most of the details for the blood feud boxing match between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have been finalized, according to a recent press release from Showtime.
Paul vs. Woodley will take place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sun., Aug. 29, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, streaming online via Showtime pay-per-view (PPV), The venue, located in Paul’s hometown, hosts the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The professional boxing match between YouTuber Paul (3-0, boxing) and debuting former UFC Welterweight champion Woodley (19-7-1, MMA) will be contested at 190 pounds. Woodley has competed at 170 pounds for the vast majority of his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career. Also on the card is a fight between unified Featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano vs. Yamileth Mercado.
“I grew up going to Cavs, Browns and Indians games on the weekends, dreaming as a little kid of one day being in a position to put on a show for my hometown like they did,” Paul said. “On August 29, that dream comes true. My biggest challenge to date, in front of the city that made me, on pay per view for the world to see me knock out a UFC champion. I’m also thrilled to have Amanda Serrano on this card. She stands out as the most prolific KO artist in women’s boxing. What a night this is going to be!”

Woodley wrapped up his UFC career on the heels of four consecutive losses — to Vicente Luque, Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman — dating back to March 2019. His resume of wins includes UFC Welterweight title fights against Darren Till, Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson and Robbie Lawler. “T-Wood” also beat Kelvin Gastelum, Carlos Condit, Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley, among others.
