Ilia Topuria and Ryan Hall faced off earlier tonight (Sat., July 10, 2021) at UFC 264 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hall was his usual mix of range kicks and leg lock attempts, but Topuria waited for his moments and did real damage to score a knockout win in round one.

CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to T-Mobile Arena with a pair of thrilling world championship bouts. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 29 coaches collide when Featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, defends his title against No. 2-ranked contender, Brian Ortega. UFC 266’s co-main event will see women’s Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko go for her sixth consecutive title defense when she meets No. 3-seeded contender, Lauren Murphy. Last, and certainly not least, Nick Diaz returns against former Welterweight roost ruler, Robbie Lawler, in a five-round banger.

Don’t miss a single second of EPIC face-punching action!

Outside of a few long distance kicks, Hall wasn’t able to get much done. He rolled towards the legs repeatedly, but Topuria routinely shut those attempts down. Then, he began to punish them, ripping to the body with uppercuts and knees as Hall ducked down. Finally, Topuria got behind Hall during a scramble, allowing him to drop a series of unanswered right hands.

Ilia Topuria might just be the best prospect at 145 lbs. The Spanish fighter has a jiu-jitsu black belt, quality wrestling, and absolutely THUDDING power in his hands. He’s absolutely one to watch, now 3-0 inside the Octagon.
