UFC Vegas 25 results: Giga Chikadze crushes Cub Swanson with first-round liver kick

Giga Chikadze and Cub Swanson faced off in a Featherweight clash tonight (Sat., May 1, 2021) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada at UFC Vegas 25.

Chikadze opened with a quick calf kick and followed it up with an immediate front kick. Stiff jab from Chikadze, but Swanson answered with a right. Counter right hand from the Georgian. Chikadze let one of his “Giga Kicks” rip direct to the liver, and Swanson was hurt! The veteran backed off and covered his mid-section, prompting the kickboxer to swarm. Swanson tried to stay standing, but he was soon on the mat, and the referee came to his rescue not long afterward.

This is far and away the best win of Chikadze’s career, and he did it via knockout in the first round! After this win, he’s likely due for a Top 10 Featherweight next.
