Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul got into an altercation earlier tonight (Sat., Apr. 24, 2021) at UFC 261 from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., as “DC” confronted Paul along the barrier to the crowd.
Paul, who is coming off a knockout win over Ben Askren earlier this month (see it HERE), has been acting tough towards Cormier on social media. The YouTube star has been trying his hand at professional boxing and has created quite the buzz. Paul’s success has led to over one million PPV buys and a combat swag that has rubbed a lot of fighters the wrong way, including Cormier.
The former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion left his broadcast spot at UFC 261 to confront Paul in the crowd. Paul came over to the barrier and the two exchanged words before being broken up. It is unknown at this time exactly what was said, but the raw video footage can be seen below:

Jake Paul is in the building at #UFC261. Did you hear Daniel Cormier say on the broadcast that he'd "slap him in the face?"

Well, they had a confrontation.

While many people around the combat sports community would like to see Paul locked inside of a cage with someone like Cormier, “DC” should not have walked over to Paul while working the event. Cormier also blurted out during the UFC 261 broadcast that he’d “slap him in the face.”
