Valentina Shevchenko looked as dominant as ever last night (Sat., Apr. 24, 2021) at UFC 261 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., when the women’s flyweight champion bloodied Jessica Andrade to earn a second-round TKO (punches and elbows).
Shevchenko was in control from the opening bell with punches from the outside and a strong clinch game. The champion even scored a slamming takedown off a body lock and nearly sunk in a rear-naked choke.
Shevchenko went back to the well in the second with a few more slamming takedowns. She ended up catching Andrade in a crucifix and pummeled her with hard punches and elbows. Andrade started to bloody and the referee stepped in.
