Floyd Mayweather is planning to box social media star Logan Paul, brother to UFC nuisance Jake Paul, at the upcoming Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) event on June 6, according to a report from The Athletic, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

This recent change in dates is no doubt an attempt to piggyback off the Triller Fight Club PPV card in Miami, scheduled for June 5 and featuring a pair of high-profile bouts, including Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. and Evander Holyfield vs. Kevin McBride.

“These are the five cities at the top of the list for the Mayweather vs. Logan Paul fight: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram.

Miami was ultimately chosen.

Similar to the recent exhibition between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr., the Mayweather-Paul bout is not expected to declare a winner and is essentially just an excuse to showcase two personalities with proven drawing power.

Expect more details on this still-developing card in the coming weeks.
