Sore Winner? ‘Chito’ Vera says Sean O’Malley turned down UFC’s offer for a rematch

Even though Marlon “Chito” Vera defeated Sean O’Malley soundly back at UFC 252, the young “Suga” insists he remains undefeated.

That may be why he’s ducking a rematch with Vera. No loss, no reason to rematch.

Vera recently revealed on Twitter that he’d been offered a second fight with O’Malley following Sean’s rebound win at UFC 260 where the young prospect knocked out Thomas Almeida. Unfortunately, Vera says O’Malley is uninterested.

Perhaps it’s because Vera is coming off a loss — a 29-28 decision defeat to Jose Aldo in the co-main of a Dec. 2020 ESPN+ card. Or, maybe O’Malley doesn’t want “Chito” hitting him with more of those devastating calf kicks that seem to be taking down so many hyped up fighters lately.

Whatever the case, don’t hold your breath for “Chito” vs. “Suga” 2.
