Israel Adesanya came up short in his quest for a second UFC title last night (Sat., Mar. 6, 2021) at UFC 259 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the middleweight king lost to reigning light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz via unanimous decision in the main event (see it HERE).

In addition to the main event showdown, a long list of main card and “Prelims” fighters turned in memorable performances all night long. Check them out below:

  • Sean Brady kept his perfect welterweight record in tact with a submission finish over Jake Matthews
  • Dominick Cruz and Casey Kenney battled tooth-and-nail in a memorable “Prelims” headliner, with the former UFC champion coming out on top

  • Bantamweight finisher Trevin Jones earned another upset win with a second-round TKO finish over Mario Bautista
  • Light heavyweight Kennedy Nzechukwu spoiled the Octagon debut of Carlos Ulberg in a wild exchange of strikes that ended in a second-round knockout
