Montel Jackson made it look easy earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 20, 2021) at UFC Vegas 22 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nev., when the bantamweight prospect steamrolled Octagon newcomer Jesse Strader via first-round TKO (punches).
Jackson was the much bigger fighter for this “Prelims” affair and quickly leaned on his range and power. Strader’s best weapon is his knockout ability, but nothing seemed to bother Jackson. “Quik” wasted no time scoring heavy punches and eventually knocked Strader to the canvas. A few hard insurance shots by Jackson was all the referee needed to see in order to wave it off.

With this performance Jackson is now 4-2 inside of the Octagon with keys victories over veterans Brian Kelleher and Andre Soukhamthath. Jackson was supposed to win this fight against Strader but he made it look easier than expected. At this rate, there’s no reason Jackson can’t work his way into the top 15 by the end of 2021.
