A Bantamweight fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Cody Stamann has been rebooked to go down at an upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night event set for May 1, 2021, per a report from MMA Junkie.

The duo was initially set to throw down in Dec. 2019 at UFC Vegas 16 before Stamann was forced out of the fight for undisclosed reasons. They were then re-booked to fight a few months later at UFC Vegas 18, but the bout was canceled again, this time after Dvalishvili bowed out because of COVID-19.

Merab is currently riding a five-fight win streak with his last win coming against John Dodson at UFC 252 in Aug. 2020. Stamann, on the other hand, is coming off a loss to Dan Ige, which went down at UFC Fight Island 1 in July 2020.

The ESPN+-streamed event will feature a Light Heavyweight bout between Jiri Prochazka taking on Dominick Reyes. In further 205-pound action, Krzysztof Jotko takes on Sean Strickland, while Cub Swanson takes on Giga Chikadze at Featherweight.
