As a result of his fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 257 — which he won via knockout on Jan. 23, 2021, on “Fight Island — Dustin Poirier was able to collect $500,000 for his Good Fight Foundation. That’s because prior to signing on the dotted line for the rematch, “Notorious” promised he would make the half-million dollar donation to Poirier’s foundation.
But, “The Diamond” isn’t done adding to the fund just yet. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim Lightweight champion of recently auctioned off the Reebok fight kit he used for his fight against McGregor. The result was a cool $26,200, which will be added to his foundation's account and allocated to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana to provide all of its locations transportation and tutoring for students to promote academic success.

Poirier could very well have another valuable fight kit up for auction this summer with reports surfacing that UFC matchmakers are eying a trilogy fight against McGregor sometime in May to break the tie.
Poirier was hoping to land a 155-pound title fight, but since the division’s championship picture is at a messy standstill at the moment, taking part in another million-dollar fight against “Notorious” isn’t a bad way to stay busy.
