Long-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Cub Swanson will make his return to action on May 1, 2021, with a recent report by MMA DNA stating that he will take on Gavin Tucker at an upcoming “Fight Night”-themed event.
Swanson is in the midst of a two-fight win streak after capturing wins over Kron Gracie and Daniel Pineda. Prior to turning it around, Swanson was the owner of a four-fight losing streak, the longest of his career. Thankfully, “Killer Cub” made the changes necessary to get back on track, and now he is eying his first three-fight win streak in four years.
It will be a tough task to say the least because Tucker has won three in a row and 13 of 14 overall, going 3-1 so far during his short stint with UFC. Both men were last seen competing at UFC 256 in Dec. 2020.
While not yet official, the bout could take place either inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, or inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” should the promotion decide to take another trip to Abu Dhabi this summer.
