Countdown to UFC 268 video for ‘Usman vs Covington 2’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will ask reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman to run it back with top-ranked division contender Colby Covington in the upcoming UFC 268 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, a five-round rematch that takes place this Sat. night (Nov. 6, 2021) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Usman stopped Covington when they first went to war at UFC 245 back in late 2019.

TWO TITLES UP FOR GRABS! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) makes its highly anticipated return to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sat., Nov. 11, 2023, with a re-worked pay-per-view (PPV) main card. In the ESPN+-streamed main event, former 205-pound roost-ruler, Jiri Prochazka, will lock horns with ex-Middleweight kingpin, Alex Pereira, for the promotion’s vacant Light Heavyweight title. In UFC 295’s co-main event, top-ranked Heavyweight contenders, Sergei Pavlovich (No. 2) and Tom Aspinall (No. 4), will collide for the interim strap after division champion, Jon Jones, was injured with a torn pectoral muscle and forced to withdraw (video).

In the UFC 268 co-main event, resurgent strawweight titleholder Rose Namajunas will also face a familiar foe in the form of Zhang Weili. “Thug” stripped “Magnum” of the 115-pound strap by way of thunderous knockout in the UFC 261 co-headliner last April, in what marked the first defeat for Weili since joining the promotion back in summer 2018.

And let’s not forget the lightweight banger between Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler.

All three bouts were featured in the latest “Countdown” video to promote UFC 268 this weekend in the “Big Apple” but the entire fight card is packed with high-octane contests from top to bottom.
