Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has released a nearly 10-minute long sneak peek at the UFC Fight Pass special, UFC 266: The Thrill and the Agony. The featurette shows an intimate behind-the-scenes moments from the pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sept. 25, 2021.
A synopsis for the YouTube video reads:
“Get a behind-the-scenes look at the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat from a wild fight night at UFC 266: Volkanovski vs Ortega.”
UFC 266 was headlined by a UFC Featherweight title fight pitting champion Alexander Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega. “The Great” emerged victorious in a firecracker of a five-round fight (watch highlights) that featured big swings in momentum. The co-headliner saw UFC Women’s Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko build on her legacy with a dominant performance against Lauren Murphy, punctuated by a fifth-round technical knockout (TKO) (watch the finish).
And in a marquee fight 17 years in the making, Robbie Lawler turned back a returning Nick Diaz with a third-round technical knockout finish (watch here).
