Submission! Watch Islam Makhachev make easy work of Dan Hooker at UFC 267

Islam Makhachev secured his ninth-straight victory inside of the Octagon earlier today (Sat., Oct. 30, 2021) live on ESPN+ from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, when the lightweight contender walked through Dan Hooker via first-round submission (kimura).

Makhachev quickly landed a right hook and then immediately went for a takedown. Of course, he landed it. Hooker tried to scoot his way to the cage to post himself up, but Makhachev did well to control the hands and step into half guard. From there, the Russian grappler set up the kimura finish and twisted Hooker’s arm until he tapped.
