UFC 267 live stream results, ‘Blachowicz vs Teixeira’ play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is locked and loaded for the UFC 267 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021 on ESPN+ from inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. Headlining duties fall to light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, who puts his 205-pound title on the line against longtime division contender Glover Teixeira. Before that battle of combat sports elder statesmen gets underway, Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen will battle for the interim bantamweight belt, created in the absence of current 135-pound titleholder Aljamain Sterling, who is still recovering from serious neck surgery. Khamzat Chimaev, Alexander Volkov, and Volkan Oezdemir will also see action Abu Dhabi.

Round 1: Low kick from Hooker. They trade lefts. Makhachev shoots behind a right hook and puts Hooker on his back against the fence. Half guard a minute in. Makhachev isolating an arm, moves to side control with a kimura. That’s insanely deep and Hooker’s forced to tap when Makhachev steps over his head and wrenches it back.

Final result: Makhachev def. Hooker by submission (kimura)


265 lbs.: Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura

Round 1: Trading punches early. Left hook from Tybura, right hand from Volkov. Snap kick and left hook land for him. Tybura steps in with left hands. One minute in. Volkov fires a right cross, then a snap kick. Tybura shoots, denied. Combination two minutes in. Tybura shoots again, still can’t get it. Volkov left hook. Right cross. Two minutes to go.

Tybura ducks a 1-2 for a shot and Volkov muscles him to his back. Volkov on top in half guard. Tybura just holding him with a minute to go. Volkov tries an elbow. 10-9 Volkov.

Round 2: 1-2 from Volkov. Tybura tries to answer a left hand with an overhand right. Tybura shoots, denied. Solid combo on the fence met by a Volkov knee. One minute in. Tybura shoots, lands uppercuts before separating. Right cross from Volkov. Chipping right, knee to the body as Tybura tries to work inside. Tybura hauls him to the fence two minutes in. Volkov separates, has to fight off another takedown attempt right away. Tybura really making an effort but unable to drag Volkov down. Snap kick and knee by Volkov. Two minutes to go.

Body kick by Tybura. 2-3. Volkov not throwing as much this round. There’s a leg kick that Tybura tries to answer with punches. One minute to go. Tybura definitely looks like the fresher of the two. Tybura punches his way into a shot, can’t lock his hands. 10-9 Tybura.

Round 3: Intercepting knee from Volkov. Tybura lands an overhand left, eats a 1-2. Tybura shoots against the fence. One minute in. Volkov visibly tired but still defending all of Tybura’s takedowns. Two minutes in. Volkov combinations. Tybura shoots, denied again. Rear waist lock for Volkov. Two minutes to go.

Knees to the butt. Volkov separates and lands some solid punches. Front kick to the body. 1-2 from Tybura. Telegraphed spin on the fence. One minute to go. Round 1: Chimaev shoots in the opening seconds, and despite some impressive defense from Li, he compeltes it against the fence. Trying to take the back. One minute in. Li stuck on his knees. Left hands from Chimeav. One hook in, now both two minutes in. He flattens Li out and starts pounding. The strikes open up the RNC. Incredible willpower from Li, but Chimaev switches sides and locks it up even tighter, squeezing until Li goes out with his eyes open.

Final result: Chimaev def. Li by technical submission (rear naked choke)


205 lbs.: Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir

Round 1: Oezdemir slowly advancing. Ankalaev tries a combo. Check hook lands for Ankalaev. Solid combo by Oezdemir, nearly catches him with a flying knee a minute in. Ankalaev pressing him against the fence. Ankalaev lands a left hand on the exit. Two minutes in. Counter right lands once again for Ankalaev. Oezdemir low kick. Snap kick from Ankalaev in return, then a 1-2 that drops Oezdemir. Oezdemir scrambles right back to his feet and avoids a head kick. Two minutes to go.

Round 2: Oezdemir looks for combos, eats a knee. Straight left from Ankalaev. Oezdemir low kick a minute in. Ankalaev stings him with a check hook that opens a cut above Oezdemir’s left eye. Two minutes in. They trade right hand. Oezdemir leg kick. Two minutes to go.

Very slow-paced fight; Ankalaev potshotting and waiting for his opportunities to open up. Straight left. Oezdemir leg kick. Ankalaev catches a body kick and takes him down, looking for the back as Oezdemir stands. One minute to go. Good elbow from Ankalaev on the break. 10-9 Ankalaev.

Round 1: Jandiroba shoots, eats a knee, denied. 1-2 connects. 1-2 met by a RIbas right hand. They tie up, good defense by both. One minute in. Ribas leg kick. Jandiroba punches her way into a successful double-leg. On top in guard, Ribas holding an overhook. Two minutes in. Ribas looks for a triangle choke, switches to a teepee choke that Jandiroba waits out. Left hands from Jandiroba in return. Two minutes to go.

Tukhugov stalking, rocks him with a left hook and feints a shot. Ramos tries to come back with a spinning elbow. Two minutes to go.

Lead hook from Tukhugov, stiff jab. Ramos continuing to circle, eats a 1-2. Tukhugov left hook and jab. Lead uppercut from Ramos. One minute to go. 2-1 land for Tukhugov. Ramos suddenly times a spinning elbow perfectly on the counter and visibly hurts Tukhugov. Ramos looking more aggressive, both men bloodied. Great round. 10-9 Tukhugov?

Round 2: Early cross lands for Ramos. Overhand right comes back at him. Counter right cross. Jab exchange. Tukhugov continuing to stalk, eats some nice right hands a minute in. Ramos coming on aggressively, lands a low kick and eats one in return. Stiff jab from Tukhugov. Two minutes in. Ramos low kick and left hook. Tukhugov 1-2, blasted with a right cross. He shoots, denied. Cross counter lands well, jab behind it. RAmos with a stiff jab of his own. Trading jabs. Two minutes to go.

More jabs from Ramos, eats a leg kick. Tukhugov landing jabs of his own. HArd 3-2 from Tukhugov. Left hook with a minute to go. More jabs. He shoots, locks his hands, peels him to the ground. Ramos stands quickly. Close round. 10-9 Tukhugov.

Round 3: Good right from Ramos to start. Tukhugov still leaning on his jab, which Ramos is answering. One minute in. Ramos body kick. Tukhugov jabs, shoots, eats a knee on the exit. Ramos follows with a left hook and they trade heat. Ramos pressing forward now. Nasty jab from Tukhugov and a cross behind it two minutes in. Tukhugov back on the advance, staying busy with the jab. Ramos firing check hooks. Two minutes to go.

185 lbs.: Albert Duraev vs. Roman Kopylov

Round 1: Duraev orthodox, Kopylov southpaw. Low kicks from Kopylov. Duraev misses a 2-3 a minute in. Kopylov to the body, eats one in return. Duraev body kick and right cross. Low kick lands two minutes in. Duraev tries a flurry, lands a leg kick. Kopylov not throwing much so far. Two minutes to go.

Duraev tries a lead elbow. Body kick. 3-2, follow-up hook. Looping right. One minute to go. Kopylov catches a head kick, can’t really use it. Body shot lands, his first real connection in a while. There’s a straight left. 10-9 Duraev.

Round 2: Duraev gets cracked early, prompting a level change. Kopylov grabs the fence to stop the takedown, causing the ref to pause the action and reset in a position where Duraev can finish the takedown. RIght to full mount. Short punches from Duraev, setting up an arm triangle. Loses it two minutes in. He postures up for some heavier shots. Brutal elbows. Two minutes to go.

Duraev briefly postures to land more nasty elbows. Kopylov’s periodically bridging but not improving position. Duraev grabs an arm triangle, loses it again. More elbows and punches with a minute to go. Kopylov gives up his back against the fence. He’s a bloody mess. Duraev wraps up an RNC, can’t finish before the bell. 10-8 Duraev.

Round 3: They bring in the doctor to check out Kopylov, who answers questions to their satisfaction. Body shot and head kick. Duraev shoots against the fence, Kopylov manages to separate a minute in. Looping left falls well short. Body kick connects. Duraev sets up his shot with some punches. Kopylov defends two minutes in, lands some solid punches on the way out. Straight left connects, then he puts his hands on his knees to bait Duraev into a straight left. Kopylov gets his mouthpiece knocked out, lands a 2-1. Two minutes to go.

Combo and jab for Kopylov, eats a counter right. Double jab, low kick, 1-2. One minute to go. Duraev lands a check hook. Kopylov lands a left uppercut as Duraev shoots, then scores his own takedown. Landing punches on the way up. 10-9 Kopylov.

Final result: Duraev def. Kopylov by unanimous decision


170 lbs.: Benoit Saint-Denis vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos

Round 1: Both men throwing kicks. They tie up and Sain-Denis puts him on the fence. They separate. Saint-Denis shoots back in behind strikes, avoids a guillotine, and takes top position. Zaleski gets to his feet and separates. Body kick exchange. Low kicks from Zaleski. Saint-Denis snap kick. Two minutes in. Body kick from Saint-Denis. Zaleski lands a low kick, absorbs a kick, then cracks Saint-Denis with a counter right. HE sprawls on the follow-up shot and separates. Two minutes to go.

Step-in knee by Zaleski, eats a two-piece. Lead right by the Brazilian, eats a body kick. Saint-Denis low kick. Zaleski shoots, denied. One minute to go. Nice little foot sweep from Zaleski as Saint-Denis fires a head kick. They swing in the center. Saint-Denis looks for combos, eats a right hand and body kick. 10-9 Zaleski dos Santos.

Round 2: Hard counter right by Zaleski as they exchange. Another good trade in the center. Saint-Denis takes him to the fence, lands a good left on the exit. Zaleski shoots, denied. Two brutal rights land for Zaleski, who catches Saint-denis shooting with a knee and starts pummeling him on the feet. Saint-Denis reeling, eating knees inside. Saint-Denis throwing back, walks into a pair of huge rights. He shoots, denied. ZAleski lets him up, goes back to blasting him. Two minutes in. Saint-Denis commits hard and gets crushed by a counter right. Zaleski hits him with a couple dozen more punches, then sprawls on a shot. BAck to the feet. Body kick from Zaleski, wobbles him again with a right hand. The ref seemingly content to let Zaleski kill this man. Two minutes to go.

Zaleski continuing to brutalize him. Vicious knees. Now Saint-Denis lands a hard right hand. Saint-Denis somehow manages to take him down. One minute to go. Zaleski returns to the feet and separates. More right hands by Zaleski. Body kicks. Zaleski disengages at the 10-second mark. 10-7 Zaleski dos Santos.

Round 3: Counter knee and low kick from Zaleski. Saint-Denis throwing, takes a finger in the eye. Saint-Denis tells the ref he can’t see and the ref doesn’t seem to give a shit, so they continue. Trading body kicks. One minute in. Right hook hurts Saint-Denis again. He shoots, pulls guard, eats elbows. Looking for upkicks. He returns to his feet with just over two minutes to go. Throwing hard kicks, eats a leg kick. Lead left lands for him. Intercepting knee by Zaleski. Two minutes to go.

Nice left by Saint-Denis, eats a knee and shoots. Nice reversal from Zaleski. Saint-Denis scrambles through into another takedown attempt. Denied by the whizzer. Zaleski reverses. Round 1: Petroski lands an early left hand, then jumps on Hu and wraps up a guillotine when the latter slips. Cranking on it from mount a minute in. He abandons it, then takes the back. Hard punches. Brief RNC attempt, loses it, retakes the back when Hu tries to scramble. Now another guillotine attempt, lets it go. Lead lefts when they stand. Brutal counter left. Hu marching forward, lands a front kick to the body and gets wobbled by a right hook. Two minutes to go.

More left hands landing for Petroski, body kick, more left hands. Hu’s eating everything so far. Long right lands for Hu, continuing to shrug off the left hands. One minute to go. Petroski shoots, hits a single-leg, lands an uppercut on the way up. More counters by Petroski. Uppercut-cross-body kick. 10-9 Petroski.

Round 2: Early takedown from Petroski, can’t get the front headlock. Left hands, another takedown. On top in half guard. One minute in. Left hands, m guillotine, side control. North-south, anaconda choke. No dice. Arm triangle now. Hu holding onto his own leg to defend two minutes in. BAck to side control. Full mount, another arm triangle. Two minutes to go.

This one looks deep, but Hu uses the same defense. Petroski abandons it and takes turtle, landing punches. Hu works to stand, dragged back to his knees. Petroski takes the back with a minute to go. A little too low to threaten the RNC. Hu scrambles up and avoids elbows at the bell. Borderline 10-8. 10-9 Petroski.

Round 3: Petroski shoots, denied, lands an overhand left. The next shot’s better and he drags Hu down against the fence. One minute in. Elbows from Petroski, puts in a hook. One minute in. Hu tries to spin into guard, gets snapped down with the front headlock, then stands and separates. Monster uppercut and straight left land for Petroski to no visible effect. He shoots from too far out, manages to complete it into side control anyway.

Full mount for Petroski with two minutes to go. Now the back, both hooks. Nasty elbows from mount. Hu regains half guard. One minute to go. Petroski wraps up an arm triangle and it’s the deepest one yet, finally forcing a tap.

125 lbs.: Allan Nascimento vs. Tagir Ulanbekov

Round 1: Early low kicks from Nascimento. Sharp jabs from Ulanbekov in return. Continuing to trade those strikes, counter right by Nascimento. One minute in. Nascimento tries a flying knee that allows Ulanbekov to grab the body lock and take him down. Nascimento looking for a triangle, nothing doing. Armbar attempt into a lovely sweep, but Ulanbekov rolls through into another takedown attempt. Nascimento attempts a trip. Ulanbekov lands one of his own but has to fight off a leglock. Nascimento takes top position, but gets caught in a nasty guillotine with two minutes to go.

Ulanbekov uses it to mount and it looks ultra-deep, but Nascimento somehow survives and goes for a leg again. Ulanbekov extracts it and sets up in half guard. Nascimento looking for a kimura sweep, gives up side control. Armbar transition. Hell of a round. 10-9 Ulanbekov.

Round 2: Nascimento goes back to the low kicks. Ulanbekov answering with the jab. Low double-leg from Ulanbekov. Nascimento defending on the fence a minute in. Looking for a kimura, ends up on his back. It’s getting deeper. Ulanbekov rotates his arm and pulls it free. On top in guard with two minutes to go.

Both landing short shots. Nascimento firing elbows from his back. Triangle attempt, nothing there with a minute to go. Slick kimura to armbar transition. I think Nascimento won that round off of his back. 10-9 Nascimento.

Round 3: Early shot from Ulanbekov. Nascimento looks for that same kimura to armbar transition, can’t get it. Short elbows from Ulanbekov a minute in. Short punches from the top. Nascimento tries a pair of triangles two minutes in, can’t get them. Ulanbekov continuing to work from the top. Two minutes to go.

Left hands landing for him in half guard. Nascimento’s submission attack has slowed. One minute to go. Brief kimura attempt from Nascimento, eats a diving right. Another triangle attempt, nothing doing. Ulanbekov postures up for some bigger shots and moves to side control. 10-9 Ulanbekov.
