Ray Cooper III had to work for it, but “Bradda Boy” eventually pulled out the win during Wednesday night’s (Oct 27. 2021) PFL Championship event, stopping Magomed Magomedkerimov via knockout in the third round of their Welterweight title fight.
During the first two rounds, Magomedkerimov was actually winning the striking exchanges and seemingly had Cooper in trouble on a few occasions, especially in the third round. Magomedkerimov was landing at will and had the Hawaiian-born scrapper rocked.

In the blink of an eye, though, Cooper pressed the turbo button out of nowhere and unloaded two huge right hands that landed right on the money, sending Magomedkerimov crashing to the canvas. Cooper then went on to land two more shots for good measure, putting his rival out for the count.
The series is now tied at one apiece and it’s safe to say this isn't the last time these two talented 170-pounders will meet inside the Smart Cage. Cooper — winner of six straight — has now won back-to-back seasons for PFL and the $1 million checks that come with it.
