Jairzinho Rozenstruick will now meet Ciryl Gane in the main event at UFC Vegas 20 on Feb. 27 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, per a report by MMA Junkie.

The original headliner, Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka, has been scratched from the card due to undisclosed reasons. Prochazka confirmed the news in the below Twitter post:

“The fight has been postponed from February 27th, but I’m looking forward to fighting Reyes in the near future, and wish him a quick recovery.”

It is unknown at this time when Reyes vs. Prochazka will be rebooked or the reason why their initial matchup was removed from UFC Vegas 20, but Prochazka’s post would suggest an injury to “Devastator” was the cause.

Rozenstruick, 32, is coming off a second-round TKO finish over former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos last August and is looking to put himself back in contention in 2021. The Surinamese contender had won his first four trips to the Octagon in 2019 before running into a Francis Ngannou 20-second knockout in 2020 and taking a temporary step back in the division. Rozenstruick took to social media yesterday to announce his new main event booking.

“Ladies and gentlemen, my fight against Ciryl Gane got rescheduled for February 27! 5x5 minutes main card. Spread the word!”

Gane, 30, is coming off his own second-round TKO finish over JDS back in December. The former professional kickboxer is currently 4-0 in UFC competition and has looked better each and every time he’s stepped inside of the Octagon. Rozenstruick is a legit test at the heavyweight level and if “Bon Gamin” is able to get past him it might be time to start talking about a No. 1 contender’s bout for the undefeated Frenchman.
