Streaking prospect Makhmud Muradov put the middleweight division on notice earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 23, 2021) at UFC 257 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Etihad Arena on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., when he finished veteran fighter Andrew Sanchez via third-round TKO (knee and punches).
Muradov came into this fight the favorite and he didn’t disappoint. Sanchez was able to hold his own and keep things interesting along the way, but Muradov’s pressure, power, and control were simply overwhelming. Muradov’s efforts came to a head in the third round when he blasted Sanchez with a big right hand that made him do the stanky leg in the center of the Octagon. A knee from Muradov then sent Sanchez flying into the cage which is where Muradov finally put a stop to the fight.
