Last month it was reported that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) released Bethe Correia following a loss to Pannie Kianzad at UFC Fight Island 3 in July. And while “Pitbull” acknowledged the news, it seems she will return to the Octagon one final time.
According to a report from Ag.fight (later confirmed by MMA Fighting) the former women’s Bantamweight title contender will be back for one more fight with the promotion, signing a deal to take part in her retirement fight against Yanan Wu on Dec. 5, 2020.
Correia has gone 2-5-1 since 2015, a losing streak that was kicked off by a 34-second knockout loss to former division champion Ronda Rousey. As for Yanan, she is coming off a loss to Mizuki Inoue more than one year ago, bringing her UFC mark to a paltry 1-2.
The “Fight Night” event — which doesn’t have a location locked down just yet — is set to be headlined by intriguing Middleweight showdown between former Welterweight title contender, Darren Till, and Jack Hermansson.
