Andre Muniz kept his winning ways up earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 5, 2020) at UFC Vegas 9 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the middleweight prospect finished veteran fighter Bartosz Fabinski via first-round submission (armbar).
Fabinski was in control in the early going as he pinned Muniz against the cage and worked the clinch. But once the action hit the canvas it was time for Muniz to show his skill. After nearly ending the fight with a tight guillotine the Brazilian looked to transition to a triangle choke. When Fabinski initiated his defense Muniz smartly switched to the armbar and almost immediately forced the tap.

With this performance, Muniz locks down his second-straight inside of the Octagon after defeating Antonio Arroyo via unanimous decision last November. Muniz is pretty crafty on the ground and showed it tonight on an absolutely gutted card. It was a big spot for the 30-year-old prospect and one that should land him another opportunity with UFC in 2020.
