Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has assembled an interesting heavyweight matchup for the upcoming UFC 254: “Khabib vs. Gaethje” pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 24, 2020, inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
Stefan Struve vs. Tai Tuivasa.
Struve (29-12) is looking to rebound from a technical knockout loss to Ben Rothwell at UFC on ESPN 7 last December. It’s been a rough couple of years for the 32 year-old “Skyscraper,” who dropped four of his last five.
As for Tuivasa (9-3), the 27 year-old Aussie may be fighting to stay employed. After jumping out to a 3-0 start to his UFC career, “Bam Bam” has now dropped three in a row, including last October’s submission loss to Sergey Spivak.
UFC 254 will be headlined by the lightweight title fight pitting Khabib Nurmagomedov against Justin Gaethje. Elsewhere on the card, Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier collide for a spot in the middleweight title chase.
