Cris Cyborg vs Arlene Blencowe to headline Bellator 249 on Oct. 15

The hits just keep coming on a busy month for Bellator MMA. Having already announced its move to CBS Sports Network and debut card for Milan on Oct. 1, 2020, there’s even more in store two weeks later. Bellator 249 will be headlined by Cristiane Justino Venancio (a.k.a. Cris Cyborg will return against “Angerfist” Arlene Blencowe (13-7).

For Cyborg (22-2, 1 NC), this will be her first Featherweight title defense since a dominant win over Julia Budd back in January. Blencowe lost a split decision to Budd at Bellator 189, but she’s been on a three-fight win streak ever since, positioning herself well for this world title match.

At this early date no additional fights have been announced for the card, which will take place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
