Rising star Valerie Loureda kept her undefeated record in tact earlier tonight (Fri., Aug. 7, 2020) at Bellator 243 from inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, when she scored an impressive knockout finish over Tara Graff as the second round came to a close.
Loureda was the obvious favorite coming into this women’s flyweight affair, but she ultimately exceeded expectations with this beautiful finish. The right hand itself was perfect, let alone the follow-up ground-and-pound with seconds remaining. Check it out above.
There was a lot of pressure on Loureda coming into this fight as she is one of the most promising young stars in the sport, especially for women’s MMA. The 22-year-old prospect has had to defend her abilities inside the cage of late — even calling for more knockouts — and ends up producing a finish like this. Quite impressive.
How long do you think Loureda can keep this dominance going?
