Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in action this Sat. night (Aug. 29, 2020) with the UFC Vegas 8 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, locked and loaded for UFC APEX facility and headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakic.
Before the action gets underway this weekend in “Sin City,” which also features a co-main event between former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and longtime 170-pound veteran Neil Magny, some of the top names from the main card will be assembled for a virtual media day.
Dumb questions, vague answers ... you know the drill by now.
Elsewhere on the card, which streams entirely on ESPN+, featherweight mainstay Ricardo Lamas collides with late-replacement Bill Algeo, while Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cutelaba hook ‘em up in 205-pound action.
It should be a pretty good night of fights as we patiently wait for UFC 253 next month on “Fight Island.”
