Jairzinho Rozenstruick will take on former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos, in a big time Heavyweight bout this Sat. night (Aug. 15, 2020) at UFC 252 in Las Vegas. Nevada.
“Bigi Boy” stormed into the Octagon having won five of his first six pro fights via knockout, all in the very first round. In his UFC debut, Jairzinho faced off against Junior Albini in early 2019.
From the jump. Albini knew he didn’t want to test his striking against the powerful big man standing across from him, so he went for and secured a takedown early on, controlling the bout on the mat in the first round.
In round two, “Bigi Boy” was determined to keep the action standing, eventually tagging the Brazilian big man with a right hand and proceeded to follow it up with a head kick as he was going down. After piling on six unanswered shot, Rozenstruik had officially arrived inside the Octagon with an impressive technical knockout win.
He would go on tow win three more via knockout before having his run ended by Francis Ngannou in just 20 seconds at UFC 249 earlier this year (see 9t). Now, Rozenstruik will look to put that behind him and start a new win streak, though he will have his hands more than full against a determined and slimmer-looking “Cigano.”
