Official UFC Vegas 5 bonuses: Vicente Luque earns extra $50K for 11th UFC finish

Outside of the last-second fight cancellations, UFC Vegas 5 delivered the goods last night (Sat., Aug. 1, 2020) live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as middleweight contender Derek Brunson ended previously undefeated youngster Edmen Shahbazyan via third-round TKO (highlights HERE).

In addition to the middleweight headliner, Jennifer Maia became the No. 1 contender in the women’s flyweight division with an early submission win over Joanne Calderwood, Vicente Luque scored his 11th UFC finish after taking out Randy Brown in the second round, Jonathan Martinez shook off a missed weight cut to end bantamweight veteran Frankie Saenz via third-round TKO. Not to mention the slobberknocker between lightweight brawlers Bobby Green and Lando Vannata, which saw “King” walk away with the decision win.
