Welcome to Midnight Mania!
The most “Notorious” retired fighter in the world may be coming back yet again.
Conor McGregor may have announced his retirement less than two months ago, but there’s several reasons to believe McGregor’s latest vacation from competition will not last. After all, it is the third time McGregor has opted to retire, and the last two occasions saw him return to action as soon as the correct opponent or paycheck arose.
More likely than not, it’s a negotiation tactic for the 32-year-old former champion.
Adding some evidence to the idea that a McGregor return is inevitable, the Irishman turned to Twitter to seemingly accept a bout.
I accept!— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) July 30, 2020
Obviously, this is an extraordinarily vague tweet, but there are a pair of real theories. First and foremost, Tony Ferguson recently expressed interest in fighting McGregor, which is the most likely option. The two have been discussed as potential opponents previously, and it’s really the perfect fight to reintroduce McGregor to the Lightweight title mix.
If McGregor knocks out “El Cucuy,” a title shot is undeniable.
However, there is a dark horse option as well. UFC’s latest hotshot young prospect, Khamzat Chimaev, is taking aim at McGregor. In fact, he’s called out McGregor less than an hour before the “I accept” tweet!
I’m getting bored, please @danawhite give me @NateDiaz209 @GamebredFighter @TheNotoriousMMA same night. I can smash all these guys... I’m not cocky guy I’m just confident. I understand if they don’t want to fight me.— Khamzat Chimaev (@KChimaev) July 30, 2020
UFC and Dana White are pretty high on Chimaev, recently speculating favorably on his chances opposite Welterweight kingpin Kamaru Usman. The promotion definitely believes in his talent, but does that mean they’ll match him up with McGregor?
I highly doubt it. There’s little to be gained, and “Borz” is the type of style that could theoretically give McGregor trouble. Either way, stay tuned for any potential clarification on McGregor’s potential return.
Some hero paid Mark Hunt $150 on Cameo to read one of his previous angry responses to an Instagram troll. “The Super Samoan” has such a way with words!

What a week! Just reflecting on my chess match of a fight with rob? Enjoyed the competition, Few things I hesitated on & should of capitalised. It was a close close match as everyone said, You could of gave it 3-2 me, 3-2 rob? Either way is completely right I feel! The 5th round the takedowns maybe didn’t count because I sprung back up each time therefore nullifying them... But I ain’t crying over spilled milk. Rob’s a terrific fighter & hats off to him, We will get it done again. As for me! I’ve got some time off from a certain knee from a certain someone... rob? I told you all before this fight that I’m just getting started and I meant it... I’m going to become the world champion I’m going to become a legend & I’m going to become a role model for young aspiring fighters everywhere. As soon as I’m back this year I want to fight 2-3 times as quick as I can... Thanks for the support, thanks for the hate. Thanks for everything!! ADELASAGNE!!! I’ll see you soon boi Thank you my team, my family & my friends for the support, Especially @teamkaobon & @mtkglobal The Gorilla...

Vicente Luque deserves more credit as one of the UFC’s most exciting fighters.
Usman Nurmagomedov is without a doubt the most powerful name in the entire sport.

Fedor Emelianenko is perhaps the greatest fighter of all time, but even he could not trade right hands with Dan Henderson.
