UFC on ESPN 10 live stream results, ‘Eye vs Calvillo’ play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) keeps the assembly line moving this TONIGHT (Sat., June 13, 2020) with UFC on ESPN 10, featuring a five-round flyweight headliner between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo, who collide inside the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also getting their hands dirty on this weekend’s mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card are middleweight bruisers Karl Roberson and Marvin Vettori. In addition, Jordan Espinosa and Mark De La Rosa hook ‘em up at flyweight, while Andre Fili and Charles Jourdain throw down at 145 pounds. Round 1: Eye sending out her jab. 2-1 from Calvillo. Counter right by Eye. Both fire 1s and 2s. One minute in. Stiff jab by Eye, combination from Calvillo, who eats a right cross and a combination. Eye’s got the sharper jab so far. Two minutes in. Calvillo lands a glancing head kick. 1-2 connects, right hand by Eye as they pivot. Counter rights from Eye. 1-2. Another counter right. Two minutes to go.

Both whiff with right hands. Another high kick by Calvillo, Eye catches it. They trade, Eye gets the better of it. Both fire combinations. One minute to go. Another good trade in the center. Eye counter 1-2. Landing her jab. Good exchanges. 10-9 Eye.

Round 2: Calvillo to the body early. More body shots. Combination from Eye as they trade. Trading in the center. Sharp 1-2 by Eye. One minute in. Calvillo shoots, initially denied but drives through for an outside trip into half guard. Eye trying to use the cage to stand, eats a right hand two minutes in. Calvillo tries to take the back as Eye stands. Nice transition and she gets both hooks in. Two minutes to go.

Eye keeping hold of Calvillo’s wrist to stymie her offense. Full body triangle now. One minute to go. Eye tries to get to her feet, eats punches from Calvillo. She takes guard at the bell. 10-9 Calvillo.

Round 3: Both looking to jab in the early going. Calvillo with a right downstairs. 2-1 connects a minute in. Eye with a stiff jab. Calvillo low kick, tries a spinning back fist. Combination lands. Jab upstairs. Two minutes in. Jab exchange, low-high combo by Calvillo. They trade in the center. Counter 2-3 lands for Eye, 1-2 lands for Calvillo. Eye with a 1-2, then a counter right. Two minutes to go.

Counter right from Eye. Calvillo left hook. Calvillo lands a 1-2, eats a bigger right hand in return and takes her down, wrapping up an arm-in guillotine from on top. One minute to go. Eye tries to stand and gives up the back. Both hooks in. A few punches before the bell. 10-9 Calvillo.

Round 4: Calvillo lands a combo, Eye lands a counter right. Calvillo catches a body kick for another takedown. Side control, now the back with both hooks a minute in. Short punches and elbows from Calvillo. Looks for the body triangle, can’t get it. Two minutes in. Calvillo a bit high, adjusting to maintain position as Eye controls her arm. Eye scrambles to her feet and manages to separate. Two minutes to go.

They trade combinations. Eye denies a takedown. Eye on the advance, lands a lead right. Calvillo looking spent. Counter right from Eye, then again. One minute to go. Jab exchange. Combination lands for Calvillo. Left hand lands. Trading jabs before the bell. 10-9 Calvillo.

Round 5: Trading jabs in the early going. Good right hand lands for Calvillo. Eye to the body. Another right downstairs, cross up top a minute in. Calvillo with a right downstairs, Eye with one to the head. Hardd combos by Calvillo. Eye reaches with a combo. Two minutes in. Hard right by Calvillo. Eye again with the right to the body. They trade in the center. Right crosses from Eye hit home. Two minutes tog o.

Another Eye combo. They trade right hands. Calvillo to the body. Eye lands a right cross and avoids a spinning back fist. Jab exchange, clean right by Eye. One minute to go. Another good right. Calvillo changes levels and takes her down into half guard, firing punches. Eye sits up, avoids a Peruvian necktie. They separate. 10-9 Calvillo.

185 lbs.: Karl Roberson vs. Marvin Vettori

Round 1: Surprisingly tentative start. Both looking for straight lefts. Jab lands for Vettori. 1-1-2 connects, met by a jab. One minute in. Roberson tries a head kick. Neither man really dictating the pace so far. Roberson tries a wheel kick and nearly wraps up the RNC while defending a takedown. Vettori escapes and drives through for his own takedown. On top in half guard against the fence. Vettori threatens a guillotine as Roberson stands and they scramble, ending with Vettori in the front headlock position. Two minutes to go.

Vettori wraps the guillotine up again and Roberson jumps off the fence to escape, ultimately landing in top position. Vettori quickly scrambles through for a takedown and unloads heavy ground-and-pound against the fence. Roberson leaves his neck out , back to eating shots. Vettori takes the back and wraps up the RNC for the finish.

Final result: Vettori def. Roberson by submission (rear naked choke)

155 lbs.: Kevin Aguilar vs. Charles Rosa

Round 1: Jab catches Rosa coming in and knocks him over. Another slip. Overhand left falls short, low kick connects. Aguilar looking to load up on the right a minute in. Rosa body kick, takes a right hand downstairs. Low kick form Rosa, right hand from Aguilar. 2-1 connects for the latter, combination from the former. Another 2-1 by Aguilar two minutes in. Rosa tries a body kick. Calf kick, jumping switch kick. Aguilar tries to blitz, eats another leg kick. Spinning back kick attempt by Rosa. Two minutes to go.

Both try head kicks. Counter overhand lands for Aguilar. Jab lands, Rosa answers with a leg kick and eats a left inside. Body kick lands for him. One minute to go. Aguilar teep. Rosa tires a left and shoots, eats right hands as Aguilar defends. Rosa steps in with a lead left and tries a combo. 10-9 Rosa.

Round 2: Good body kick from Rosa in the early going. Aguilar tries a head kick, takes a calf kick. 2-3 lands for Aguilar. One minute in. Aguilar tries a combo after avoiding a side kick. Rosa wheel kick also fails to connect. Superman punch from Aguilar appears to go high. Rosa steps in with a left straight and eats a body kick soon after. Low kick lands. Two minutes in. Rosa fires a body kick and head kick, eats a counter jab. Rosa body kick. Aguilar wit ha counter combination. Two minutes to go.

Aguilar fires a body kick and double jab, then counters a leg kick. Head kick catches Aguilar leaning. Good straight left by Rosa. Aguilar slips punches and looks for counters with a minute to go. Another good kick from Rosa and a big left hand appears to hurt Aguilar. More heavy blows by Rosa. 10-9 Rosa.

Round 3: Rosa sporting a rough cut, but trading heavy punches with Aguilar. Rosa throwing big left hands. Aguilar lands a jab. Counter right. One minute in. Rosa tries a head kick. He fires a lead left and Aguilar answers to the body. Aguilar grabs a rear waist lock, but backs off when Rosa threatens to roll. Two minutes in. Rosa body kick. Aguilar tries a body kick, lands a right hand around the guard and takes a straight left. Both land low kicks. Two minutes to go.

Aguilar lands a double jab, digs a right to the body. Rosa comes back with a straight left. Heavy counter left catches Aguilar coming in, then again. Another lead left by Rosa. Aguilar changes levels, denied. Low kick from Rosa. Hard right hand after denying another takedown. Counter left. 10-9 Rosa.

145 lbs.: Andre Fili vs. Charles Jourdain

Round 1: Fili on the advance, blocks a body kick. 1-2 lands for the Canadian, who gets caught throwing with a jab. They trade and a hook stings Jourdain. Trading heavy kicks. Both swing big. Fili head kick blocked a minute in. Both land right hands. Fili knocks Jourdain back with a head kick. Fili taunts after avoiding a head kick. Rapid exchange two minutes in, body kick from Fili. Jourdain lands a leg kick, tries a spinning back kick and head kick. Gili body kick catches Jourdain in an awkward stance. Spinning back fist goes high. Two minutes to go.

Jourdain lands a low kick, blocks a knee. Both try head kicks. Huge left hand from Jourdain and down goes Fili. Fili manages to tie him up and they separate. Fili tries a head kick with a minute to go. Teep lands for him. Good exchange and Fili slams Jourdain to the mat, landing punches on the way up. 10-9 Jourdain.

Round 2: They get back to exchanging in the early going. Low kicks from Jourdain. Both fire head kicks. Jourdain whiffs on a big left and blocks the return head kick. One minute in. Jourdain with another low kick. Jourdain body kick, Fili head kick. Straight right lands for the American. Both land hard leg kicks and Jourdain follows up with a punching combination. Spinning back fist by Jourdain and a left splits the guard. Two minutes in. Counter combo by Fili, eats more leg kicks. Fili lands a lead left. Southpaw 1-2s. Good lead right with two minutes to go.

Jourdain with a body jab and straight left upstairs. Check hook as Fili fires a 1-2. More low kicks by the Canadian. One minute to go. Fili head kick falls short. Jourdain swings big, falls short, lands a leg kick and gets taken down. Fili lets him up. Right cross before the bell. 10-9 Fili.

Round 3: Jourdain opens with a straight left and body kick. Fili tries a head kick, eats a low kick. Jourdain tries to spin, takes a 1-2, lands a straight left. One minute in. Combinations from Fili. Body shot. Jourdain tries a jumping knee and eats a right cross before getting double-legged. Half guard to side control, now looking for the back two minutes in. Jourdain stands, slammed back down from the rear waist lock. Now he stands and separates. Fili body kick, both land straight lefts. Two minutes to go.

Rapid exchange, Jourdain lands clean. Both land hard lefts. Fili body kick, Jourdain low kicks. Stiff Fili jabs, heavy two-piece by Jourdain in return. One minute to go. Fili changes levels, denied with underhooks, lands a straight left. He catches a kick for a takedown into side control. 10-9 Fili.

135 lbs.: Mark De La Rosa vs. Jordan Espinosa

Round 1: Low kicks and jabs from Espinosa to start. De La Rosa shoots, denied, eats another jab. Espinosa moving well in the early goign. More low kicks and jabs a minute in. Both fire right hands. Espinosa jab, De La Rosa low kick. Good body kick from Espinosa and a jab behind it. More jabs, switching stance. De La Rosa blocks a head kick. Two minutes in. Combination to the body from De La Rosa and he takes Espinosa to the fence, eating a knee as he does. Two minutes to go.

De La Rosa working hard for the takedown as Espinosa chips away inside. More short shots from Espinosa as he defends. One minute to go. Browne elbows from Espinosa. Brutal level elbows. De La Rosa doggedly holding onto the leg. 10-9 Espinosa.

Round 2: More jabs piling up for Espinosa. De La Rosa low kick, head snapped back by a jab. Quick exchange in the center. One minute in. Hard body kick among the jabs. De La Rosa tries to counter with an uppercut, still pursuing and eats a 3-2, coming back with body shots before tying up. Looking for the single-leg again, eating elbows. Two minutes in. Foot stomps from De La Rosa. Espinosa lands a pair of knees downstairs and takes a left on the exit. More jabs. Lead right to body knee with two minutes to go.

More low kicks and jabs. Hard counter right, De La Rosa answers with a combination on the fence. Low kick from De La Rosa, again answers a 3-2 with a body shot. One minute to go. Sharp lead left, then a right cross after shifting. Another heavy right cross answers a De La Rosa low kick. More potshotting. 10-9 Espinosa.

Round 3: Low kick and right cross from Espinosa, who takes him to the fence. Good knee downstairs before separating. De La Rosa lands a clean overhand right, gets blasted with counters soon after. Espinosa hits a trip, stands over him, kicks at his legs. De La Rosa tries to scoot in for a leg and Espinosa postures up for some heavy shots. Big hammerfists. De La Rosa gets to his knees and Espinosa tries to set up a d’arce. Two minutes in. He loses it and they return to the feet. Body shot from De La Rosa, taken down. looks for a guillotine. Espinosa avoids it, sprawls, knees the body, stands with two minutes to go.

Low kick from De La Rosa, eats a check hook. Fade-back left hook by Espinosa, body kick behind it. One minute to go. Another hard right cross. Espinosa shoots, sprawled on, De La Rosa tries to flurry. Espinosa clinches, separates, lands one more check hook. 10-9 Espinosa.

Final result: Espinosa def. De La Rosa by unanimous decision

125 lbs.: Mariya Agapova vs. Hannah Cifers

Round 1: Both women trading early, Agapova getting the better of it at range. Cifers ties up, looks for clinch blows. She again ties up, lands a right on the break. 1-2 from Agapova. One minute in. Low kick from Cifers, counter right lands. Big left hands from Agapova and a knee to the body behind it. Cifers puts her on the fence briefly. Agapova 1-2 and knees. Cifers gets double unders, throws knees downstairs. Two minutes in. Agapova separates. Straight lefts from Agapova, who follows up with a clean head kick that drops Cifers. Cifers manages to tie up, but Agapova latches onto her back standing and wraps up the RNC in seconds/.

Final result: Agapova def. Cifers by submission (rear naked choke)

140 lbs.: Merab Dvalishvili vs. Gustavo Lopez

Round 1: Both men fire low kicks. Merab grabs a leg and kicks the other one out. Lopez back up, still attached to him. Dvalishvili takes an elbow and separates a minute in. Low kick from Dvalishvili, then a wild spinning back fist that glances off. Overhand right falls short, head kick appears to land behind it. Side kick to the midsection two minutes in. Lopez with an overhand right, lands a good cross inside but loses his balance throwing. Low kick from Dvalishvili. Lopez tries a combination, eats a lead right and gets dragged down form the rear waist lock. Warned for a fence grab. Dvalishvili drags him back down to his set, lands right hands as they stand. Two minutes to go.

Big double-leg slam puts Dvalishvili on top. Lopez threatens a leg and uses it to stand. Another takedown from Dvalishvili with a minute to go. Lopez trying to use a butterfly guard. Dvalishvili looks to pass, can’t do so. Hard postured-up body blow from the Georgian, then some booming shots to the head. 10-9 Dvalishvili.

Round 2: Lopez walking forward, Dvalishvili circling. Hard right hand from Dvalishvili and Lopez backs off. Dvalishvili tries a knee tap, lands a leg kick a minute in. Second knee tap puts him back on top. Short punches. Looking for side control two minutes in, gets there. Knees to the body. Dvalishvili goes to the kesa gatame and tries to put on the squeeze. Two minutes to go.

Dvalishvili uses his legs to lock up an armbar, loses it. Lopez manages to scramble to his feet, gets double-legged back into side control seconds later. Lopez sweeps to his feet, denies a single-leg. One minute to go. Double-leg from Dvalishvili and Lopez hunts for a guillotine, using it to get to his feet. Dvalishvili catches a kick and takes him down again, looking for the back as Lopez tries to scramble. Back up, back down. 10-9 Dvalishvili.

Round 3: Dvalishvili sends out some high kicks. Low kicks land, then a counter right. Lopez denies a level change. Knee tap from Dvalishvili and he’s on top a minute in. Lopez tries a kimura, eats a hammerfist, manages to stand. Dvalishvili low kick. Another takedown into full mount. Now the back, looking for the choke. Lopez escapes out the back door and eats a right on the exit. Another double-leg for Dvalshvili and Lopez threatens a guillotine, but gets tossed aside and down. Two minutes to go.

Dvalishvili postures up for some solid punches. Now the back with a minute to go. Dvalishvili looks for an arm and Lopez stands. Single-leg from Dvalishvili, back on top in guard. He stands and tries to drop some bombs. 10-9 Dvalishvili.

Final result: Dvalishvili def. Lopez by unanimous decision

135 lbs.: Julia Avila vs. Gina Mazany

Round 1: Double counter lefts from Mazany and she shoots, denied with a knee. Avila responds by viciously blitzing Mazany across the cage until she covers up and the ref steps in.

Final result: Avila def. Mazany by TKO (punches)

125 lbs.: Tyson Nam vs. Zarrukh Adashev

Round 1: Adashev opens with a southpaw combination. He follows up with a naked low kick and gets knocked into the shadow realm with a counter right. Adashev is just awake enough to eat one more shot en route to the land of nod.

Final result: Nam def. Adashev by KO (punches)

170 lbs.: Christian Aguilera vs. Anthony Ivy

Round 1: Low kick lands for Ivy. Aguilera firing his jab. More low kicks from Ivy. Good 2-1 from Aguilera and Ivy staggers back, shelling up. Aguilera pours it on for the finish.

Final result: Aguilera def. Ivy by TKO (punches)
