Business is not exactly 100 percent back to normal ahead of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) return this Saturday night (May 9, 2020) for UFC 249 in Jacksonville, Fla. — which will be a closed-door event — but “Embedded” remains a constant.
In episode two of the behind-the-scenes video blog, Dominick Cruz gets a fresh cut ahead of his title fight against Bantamweight kingpin, Henry Cejudo. Though he isn’t headed to his local barber shop because of COVID-19 restrictions, instead going to his personal hair stylist’s home before he gets a late jog in.
Event headliner, Justin Gaethje, enjoys some fresh air with his dog before he and his head trainer, Trevor Whitman, get some rounds in ahead of the big interim Lightweight title fight against Tony Ferguson. As for "El Cucuy," he partakes in a late night game of catch with friends in an empty parking lot.
From the official YouTube description:
Dominick Cruz recalls being thrown by Ronda Rousey and runs outdoors. Justin Gaethje walks his dog and plays pool between workouts. Tony Ferguson chooses an unexpected sport for cross-training in Jacksonville.
