Longtime UFC light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira let the rest of the 205-pound division know that despite his age (40), he’s still a formidable threat to anyone hoping to work their way up to a Jon Jones title shot.
The Brazilian smashed his way into a “Performance of the Night” bonus with a fifth-round technical knockout victory over Anthony Smith, who lost a few teeth last night (Weds., May 13, 2020) on ESPN+ from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
Also banking an extra $50,000 was lightweight standout Drew Dober, who polished off Alexander Hernandez on the ESPN+ main card. In addition, “Fight of the Night” honors went to bantamweight bangers Brian Kelleher and Hunter Azure.
“Boom” closed the show by way of second-round knockout.
